WBTrading Labs

Privacy

Last updated 7 October 2026

This site collects as little as it can: no cookies, no ads, no third-party fonts. Below is everything that happens to data when you visit.

Who is responsible

Wojciech Bernacki, who runs WB Trading Labs as an independent, non-commercial research project. Contact: contact@wbtradinglabs.com.

The server

The site runs on a server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). To show you a page, the server has to receive your IP address, the address of the page and details of your browser. The web server keeps no visit logs (access logs).

Visit counting: GoatCounter

I count visits anonymously with GoatCounter, without cookies. On each visit your browser sends GoatCounter the page address, the page you came from, your screen size, language, browser details and your IP address. The IP address is used to find the country and a one-day anonymous hash that tells new visits from repeat ones; according to GoatCounter it is not stored. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), namely knowing how many people read the research and where they come from.

Rather not be counted? Open wbtradinglabs.com/#toggle-goatcounter in your browser; it remembers this in local storage, and opening it again switches counting back on.

Language, fonts, links, email

  • When you choose a language (with the PL/EN switch, or the link in the note offering the Polish version), your browser remembers the choice in local storage, not a cookie, so the home page opens in that language when you come back to it directly or from this site. If you close the note, your browser remembers only that, so the note stays hidden. Both stay on your device and are never sent to me; clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
  • Fonts are served from this domain; your browser contacts no one else for them.
  • Links to X and Spotify do nothing until you click them; from then on those services' own policies apply.
  • If you email me, I use your message only to reply, and keep it no longer than the conversation needs.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing. Write to contact@wbtradinglabs.com. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW) or, in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
